The goal of The projectto develop the railway network, linking Jeddah to Dammam via Riyadh, and is considered one of the largest transportation projects in the Middle East and the world. It also contributes to linking ports and major industrial centers, including Yanbu, Jubail, and King Abdullah Port, which enhances the efficiency of freight movement, reduces transportation costs, and provides many job opportunities. It includes the establishment of seven huge logistics centers along the route to facilitate the movement of trade and the storage and distribution of goods.
