المملكة: Including 128,000 in the Eastern Province… 905,000 passengers on intercity buses in 3 months
The number of flights via Transportationby intercity buses reached about 45,000 trips during the third quarter of 2025 throughout the cities and governorates of the Kingdom, which reflects the great demand for this sector, and individuals’ dependence on Busesare considered an easy option for travel, as revealed by the General Transport Authority, through a quarterly statistical bulletin issued today.
According to the published statistical bulletin, the bus transport sector between the cities of the Kingdom achieved remarkable numbers in terms of the number of passengers during this period, as they reached more than 905 thousand passengers.
Transport between Cities
The data shows that the number of passengers who traveled from Mecca to other cities and governorates of the Kingdom reached 224 thousand passengers during the third quarter, while Riyadh, the capital, recorded 205 thousand passengers.
With regard to the other cities and governorates of the Kingdom, the number of passengers in the cities and governorates of the Eastern Province reached about 128 thousand passengers, while Asir recorded 66 thousand passengers, and Medina witnessed the transport of 60 thousand passengers, then Tabuk with 47 thousand passengers, while the number of passengers in Jizan and Qassim reached 34 thousand and 22 thousand.
