Al Rams hosts the third round of the “Emirates Running Villages 2025” races

The Emirates Council for Balanced Development continued the series of “Emirates Running Villages” races 2025, which are held within the activities of the “Year of Community” under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development.
Today, in the Al Rams area in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, the third round of the “Emirates Villages Running” races began, with the participation of various segments of society, including families, children, and people of determination, which embodies the integration of efforts to achieve comprehensive development that puts people at the heart of its priorities.
The race activities included Emirati heritage performances presented by artistic and popular groups, which contributed to introducing participants and visitors to the local heritage and highlighting the authentic cultural manifestations, in addition to their role in promoting tourism in the areas of Ras Al Khaimah and highlighting their natural and heritage components.
The National Agricultural Center participated in the activities accompanying the race through the farmers’ market, where many local agricultural products from the Al Rams area were displayed, in addition to a review of modern agricultural and environmental practices. The center also provided visitors and participants with the opportunity to learn about organic and seasonal products, which are an essential pillar in supporting food security and encouraging local agriculture.
The first place winners were crowned and the distinguished participants in various categories were honored in a festive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of unity and national cohesion that characterizes the UAE society.
The coronation was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Khalifa Bakhit Al Kaabi, Secretary-General of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, and Sultan Salem Al Shamsi, Director of the National Agricultural Center, along with a number of officials from agencies and councils in the country.
The race distances varied to suit all groups, as the program included a 1.5 km family race, a 5 km community race, and a 10 km competitive race, which allowed for wide participation from various segments of society.
The organization of the “Emirates Running Villages” races comes as a translation of the vision and directives of the wise leadership to promote balanced development in various regions of the country through community and sports initiatives that contribute to raising the quality of life and encourage the adoption of a healthy lifestyle in a manner that establishes the values of community service, volunteerism, and a culture of shared responsibility.
It is worth noting that the “Emirates Villages Run 2025” races are organized in partnership with “ADNOC” and in cooperation with sports councils, municipalities and tourism authorities at the state level.
The “Emirates Running Villages” races are a community and sports platform that highlights the values of belonging and cohesion and contributes to highlighting the diversity of the country’s natural terrain and the richness of its culture and heritage.
