After discovering a benign tumor in the brain stem, Miss Egypt’s suffering continues and her condition deteriorates

Actress Engy Abdullah announced the deterioration of her health after discovering a benign tumor in the brain stem, confirming that she is still suffering from treatment difficulties. She told Cairo 24: “The treatment is still tiring, and my condition is deteriorating, and the doctor told me that if there is an improvement, it will not be now…it will be after the end of the treatment journey,” asking her fans to pray for her recovery.

Angie explained that the tumor is located in a very sensitive place and affects the details of her daily life. She had the same tumor in 2019 and at that time underwent the permitted radiation and chemotherapy sessions, before the symptoms returned more severely during the past six months, including loss of sensation on the right side, difficulty swallowing, and severe pain resembling electric shocks with any slight movement.

Angie stated that the majority of doctors inside and outside Egypt apologized for treating her due to the difficulty of the condition and the exhaustion of previous doses, noting that the hospital where she received her treatment requested that she sign an acknowledgment that she would bear full responsibility for any complications if she completed the treatment, which prompted her to withdraw.

Engy Abdullah is currently receiving palliative treatments to improve her quality of life, stressing that she is not seeking treatment out of a desire to cling to life as much as she is suffering from severe, prolonged fatigue, and is awaiting a “miracle” that will alleviate her ordeal.
