The season is still long… and Dibba needs a “long breath”

Dibba team manager Juma Al-Abdouli confirmed that the league’s journey is still in its infancy, and that the path towards achieving good results requires a lot of work and patience, pointing out that the team has not achieved the desired results yet, but it is performing well in many matches, despite losing five matches and drawing once during the six rounds played in the ADNOC Professional League.
Al-Abdouli told Emirates Today: “The season is still long and the road requires a long breath. The league this season is completely different, and all the teams prepared strongly, and the competition has become difficult in every match. We realize that the team did not appear as desired, in terms of results, but in terms of performance, the players presented good levels in the first matches despite the losses.”
The Dibba team manager added: “We succeeded in snatching a draw point against Al-Nasr in the fifth round, which is a positive result compared to the beginning of the season and the level of competitors. What is said about the team emerging from the “amateur” league being the first candidate for relegation is not accurate, and it is still too early to talk about that. The road is still long, and we have confidence that the team will appear differently in the coming weeks.”
Regarding the file of foreign players and the possibility of making changes, Al-Abdouli explained: “There is no talk at the present time about changing foreign players. We still have two months until the winter transfer period, and for every recent incident, our focus now is on correcting mistakes and improving collective performance.”
The Dibba team occupies the penultimate place in the standings with one point gained from a draw with Al-Nasr, while it lost five matches, the last of which was against Al-Jazira in the sixth round with a goal without a response, while Bani Yas comes in last place without any points. Al-Abdouli concluded his speech by emphasizing that the technical staff and players have the determination to return and achieve positive results in the next stage, adding: “We praise the capabilities of our players, and we know that the season is long, and development is coming with continued work and discipline.”
