The launch of the Hamdan Bin Zayed Shooting Championship competitions in the men’s and junior categories

Al Dhafra, October 27 / WAM / The preliminary round competitions for the Hamdan Bin Zayed Shooting Championship, in the “Secton 0.22” rifle category, in its fifth edition, began yesterday, for the men’s and junior categories.

Al Dhafra Shooting Club confirmed, in a statement today, that the preliminary round qualifiers will continue until next December 5 at the club’s shooting ranges, in preparation for announcing the qualification of 50 shooters to the final of the tournament on December 6, 2025, and crowning the first place winners.

The club explained that the registration process for shooters on the official website of the tournament witnessed a large turnout from both categories, and the number of those wishing to participate reached more than 300 in the men’s and junior categories, with the opportunity for more numbers to participate before the conclusion of the preliminary qualifiers.

For his part, Abdullah Hamad Al Marri, Vice Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, said that the tournament in all its categories recorded a great success, and a wide turnout from all the scheduled categories, with the encouragement of parents, and their eagerness to come to the club, to follow the tournament, which enhances its value and its sustainable legacy in empowering different categories of skills, abilities and experience, with the support of the Office of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
