Netanyahu orders the Israeli army to carry out attacks in Gaza immediately

On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the army to carry out “strong” attacks in Gaza immediately.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that Israel informed the United States of its intention to launch an attack on the Gaza Strip following the recent Rafah incident.

The Commission also explained that the Israeli leadership decided to expand the scope of the area it controls within the Gaza Strip, within the framework of what it described as “military redeployment.”

The broadcaster added that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is coordinating with the US administration regarding the decision to expand Israeli control in Gaza, without revealing additional details about the nature or date of the expected operations.

An Israeli military official said that Hamas “violated the agreement by carrying out an attack on our forces.”

Resuming attacks

Earlier today, Netanyahu accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, vowing to respond. He said that Hamas had previously handed over the remains of “the body of a hostage whose remains had already been found by the Israeli army.” He stressed that he would discuss with the security establishment the government’s response to Hamas’ “violations,” as he put it.
