Dubai, October 29 / WAM / The film “Samosa Chapati”, produced by the “Visionaries” group, the largest content management and development platform in the UAE, which includes 21 companies and platforms, received great demand after breaking records at the box office.

More than 366,000 tickets have been sold since the film was released last August 14 in Gulf and Iraqi cinemas, making it one of the most successful films in the Gulf countries.
The film topped the box office in the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain for two consecutive weeks, and was ranked among the “Top 10” in the history of Gulf cinema. It maintained its position in the “Top 10” for a week in the Middle East region and was the best-selling film in Bahraini cinema for the year 2025 with more than 100,000 tickets.
The film’s record-breaking prompted cinemas to continue showing it for 10 consecutive weeks, and after this success on the big screen, the film was made available for showing on small screens via the Yango Play platform starting October 23.
The film was directed by Jordanian Ahmed Jalbush, and stars Bahraini Ahmed Sharif, alongside Emirati actor Marai Al-Halyan, Bahraini Abdul Rahman Saber, Saudi Ziad Al-Omari, and Egyptian Ahmed Fathi.

The cinema market in the Emirates is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 7.1% for the period from 2024 to 2030, according to the report of “Grand View Research”, the American company specializing in market research, which confirmed that this promising growth comes as a result of the increasing demand for cinematic content, the advanced infrastructure and the supportive environment for investments that the country provides for this sector, which strengthens the Emirates’ position as a major center for the film and entertainment industry.
