Dubai receives 13.95 million international tourists in 9 months

The Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai revealed the latest statistics on the performance of the tourism sector and the numbers of international visitors, which showed the emirate’s success in attracting 13.95 million international tourists during the first nine months of the current year 2025, compared to 13.29 million tourists in the same period in 2024, a growth of about 5%.
According to data issued by the department, Emirates Today published a copy of it. Western Europe ranked first in terms of the source of visitors to Dubai, based on geographical region, accounting for 21% of the total number of visitors, during the period between January and September 2025, recording more than 2.86 million international tourists, followed by the Gulf Cooperation Council region with about 16%, recording about 2.3 million tourists.
In turn, the South Asia region came in third place with about 15%, recording about two million tourists, while Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Eastern Europe took about 14%, recording more than 1.98 million tourists.
For its part, the Middle East and North Africa region recorded 1.55 million tourists, representing 11% of the total, while the countries of North and Southeast Asia accounted for a share of 9% of the total, recording more than 1.3 million international tourists.
The total number of international tourists from the Americas reached more than 978,000 international tourists, accounting for 7% of the total number, compared to a share of about 5% for Africa, with a rate of about 627,000 visitors, while the “Australasia” region accounted for about 2%, with a rate of 290,000 international tourists.
In addition, the number of hotel rooms in Dubai at the end of September 2025 reached more than 152.3 thousand hotel rooms within 819 hotel establishments, compared to about 152 thousand hotel rooms within 826 establishments at the end of September 2024, and the average hotel occupancy in all establishments operating in Dubai recorded a rate of 78.7% during the period between January and September 2025, compared to 76.4% in the same period in 2024.
Luxury “five-star” hotel rooms accounted for 36% of the total size of the hotel market in Dubai, recording about 54.3 thousand hotel rooms within 169 hotel establishments, followed by “four-star” hotel rooms with a percentage of 28%, recording about 43.2 thousand hotel rooms within 194 establishments.
For its part, hotels classified between “three stars” and “one star” accounted for about 19% of the total size of the hotel market, with a capacity exceeding 29.3 thousand hotel rooms within 276 hotel facilities, while hotel apartments registered more than 25.5 thousand rooms within 180 facilities, thus occupying about 17% of the total size of the hotel market in Dubai.
The length of stay of guests in Dubai hotels at the end of last September was 3.6 hotel nights, compared to 3.6 nights in the same period in 2024, while the number of nights (booked rooms) reached about 32.7 million nights, compared to about 31.2 million overnight stays during the comparison period, with a growth rate of about 5%.
The average daily price of a hotel room in Dubai reached 509 dirhams at the end of September 2025, compared to 487 dirhams in the same period last year, a growth of 5%, while the average revenue from available rooms reached 401 dirhams at the end of last September, compared to 372 dirhams in the same period last year, a growth of about 8%.
