Bahrain Development Bank hosts a roundtable discussion in cooperation with “Export Bahrain”

The Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) held a roundtable discussion at its headquarters, in cooperation with Export Bahrain, in the presence of a group of media professionals, as well as representatives from several sectors, most notably: manufacturing, food and beverages, and retail. This initiative aims to understand business requirements and provide specialized banking solutions to support the growth of this vital sector.

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, 12 SMEs supported by Export Bahrain participated in this event to learn about the package of banking facilities currently available in the market. Accordingly, Mr. Nawaf Al-Yousef, Branch Manager at the Bahrain Development Bank, presented his vision on the banking challenges and opportunities available to develop their business, stressing the bank’s commitment to supporting the local institutional sector. While the Export Bahrain team highlighted the appropriate banking services for small and medium enterprises.

The media dialogue session was held in the form of an open discussion, which allowed for the exchange of experiences between companies and obtaining a comprehensive vision of the practical needs of institutions, which will contribute to enriching the development of banking services in the future. This initiative reflects the Bahrain Development Bank’s keenness to communicate with the local community and highlight its efforts to support local businesses and promote innovation in banking services.

This session comes within the Bahrain Development Bank’s ongoing efforts to support small and medium-sized companies, develop a stimulating business environment, and strengthen partnerships with competent national authorities, in a way that contributes to advancing national development and supports the 2030 Economic Vision.
