The head of health care announces the operation of the new oncology unit at the Fayrouz Medical Complex in Tur Sinai

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, President of the General Authority for Health Care and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, announced the start of operation of the new oncology unit at the Fayrouz Medical Complex in the city of Tur Sinai in South Sinai Governorate, at a total cost exceeding 4 million pounds, within the framework of the authority’s plan to expand the provision of specialized health services and meet the needs of patients within the governorate, in line with the boom witnessed by the health sector in Egypt under the umbrella of comprehensive health insurance.
He added. Al-Subki said that the new unit was equipped according to the latest international medical standards and provided with the latest technologies to ensure the quality of service provided to patients, noting that the unit includes advanced equipment, including the Laminar Flow device used in preparing intravenous medications, especially chemotherapy, in a safe and sterile environment, under the supervision of specialized consultants and an integrated medical team of doctors and pharmacists.
The head of the Health Care Authority continued that the unit includes treatment halls fully equipped to receive oncology patients and provide therapeutic services. It is integrated for them, with sessions scheduled in advance to ensure regular service and provide the highest levels of privacy and comfort for patients while receiving treatment, pointing out that the design of the unit takes into account the latest international requirements to create a supportive therapeutic environment for patients and their families that contributes to improving the treatment experience comprehensively.
Al-Sabki pointed out that the operation of the new unit represents a qualitative addition to the health system in South Sinai, as it provides the governorate with advanced oncology services without the need to move to other governorates, This contributes to the speed of medical intervention and improving the quality of health life for beneficiaries, stressing that this step embodies the authority’s commitment to consolidating the concept of “integrated health care closest to the patient.”
The head of the authority confirmed that the Fayrouz Medical Complex in Sinai is one of the distinguished health edifices in the governorate, as it has provided 200,000 medical services since the beginning of its operation, which reflects the magnitude of the efforts made in developing the health service and providing Integrated care at the highest level for the people of South Sinai.
Al-Sobki added that the operation of the new oncology unit comes within the framework of the Authority’s strategy aimed at enhancing the readiness of its medical complexes in the various governorates, and providing highly specialized treatment services to beneficiaries of the comprehensive health insurance system, stressing that the Authority is continuing to implement its plans to expand the scope of services in South Sinai.
Sobki concluded The expansion of these projects reflects the General Authority for Health Care’s commitment to supporting the state’s efforts to improve the health system, in line with the directions of the New Republic, and reflects its belief in the importance of investing in health infrastructure to achieve sustainable development goals and ensure the provision of distinguished health services to the Egyptian citizen.
