Khor Fakkan and Al Wasl…a promising confrontation with goals

The seventh round of the ADNOC Professional Football League continues with two matches that are no less important than the rest of the round’s matches. At Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium, Al Wasl will host Khor Fakkan at 19:45, in a match that is expected to be promising with goals, as the last six matches between them witnessed 28 goals scored, at a rate of approximately 4.6 goals per match.
Al-Wasl, led by its stars Fabio Lima and Ali Saleh, enters the match in third place with 13 points, and is required to achieve victory in order to reconcile its fans and restore its balance, after the painful blow of its early exit from the President’s Cup, as obtaining the three points will keep the team in the heart of the struggle for the lead.
On the other hand, Khor Fakkan, whose ranks feature stars Tariq Soudali and Elton Phillippi, is in 11th place with seven points, and is seeking to achieve victory to confirm its improvement and move away from danger centers early, driven by the high morale of its players, after qualifying for the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup.
What is noteworthy is that Khor Fakkan won the last two matches against Al-Wasl in the league, and this season is also distinguished by its remarkable effectiveness, as it has the highest percentage of converting shots into goals (26%), even though it is one of the teams that shoots the least with only 39 shots.
Historically, the balance is tilted in favor of Al-Wasl, as the two sides have met 12 times in the professional league. Al-Wasl won six matches compared to four victories for Khor Fakkan, while two matches ended in draws.
Baniyas – Dibba
At 17:00, Al Shamkha Stadium will be the stage for the confrontation between the two bottom sides, when Bani Yas, who is in last place without points, will host his guest, Dibba, who is in penultimate place with one point.
Baniyas enters the match in an unenviable position, as it is at the bottom of the standings without any points, and it is the only team that did not score any goal this season despite shooting 39 balls, of which only eight were on goal, but on the other hand, it seeks to invest in the high morale of its players, after they qualified for the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup at the expense of Al-Nasr.
On the other hand, Dibba has one point, and aspires to achieve its first victory after a modest performance in the previous rounds, but in turn, it hopes that its victory over Al Wasl in the round of 16 of the President’s Cup will reflect positively on its performance in today’s match.
It is noteworthy that the two sides met 10 times in the tournament, with Bani Yas winning five matches compared to two victories for Dibba, while three matches ended in a draw, and Al-Samawi scored 25 goals against Dibba, compared to 14 goals for the latter.
. “The Emperor” is required to win to reconcile his fans after the shock of the early exit from the President’s Cup.
