Al-Wasl defeats Al-Dhafra with three goals… and Lima regains the memory of the goals

Al-Wasl international player, Fabio Lima, regained his scoring sense after a long absence, to lead the “Emperor” to an important victory over his guest, Al-Dhafra, by three clean goals, today, Wednesday, at Zabeel Stadium in the twentieth round of the professional football league, in the presence of about a thousand spectators, to keep his team’s hopes alive in competing for qualification tickets to foreign competitions.

Lima opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, ending a goal drought that lasted 11 consecutive matches, and facilitating his team’s task in resolving the confrontation, before Ali Saleh increased the score with the second goal in the 51st minute, while Renato Junior concluded the goal festival in the 80th minute.

Lima had missed scoring since his goal against Khor Fakkan in the seventh round, and during that period he was subjected to criticism due to a decline in his level, before he returned strongly and confirmed his offensive value.

The goal raised Lima’s tally to 180 goals in the Professional League, strengthening his position as the third highest-scoring player in the history of the competition, behind Ali Mabkhout (228 goals) and Sebastian Tigali (184 goals). He also strengthened his distinguished record against Al Dhafra by reaching 20 goals (14 goals and 6 assists).

The match witnessed three expulsions, most notably for Al Wasl player Gabriel dos Santos in the 51st minute, along with Al Dhafra duo Vinicius Seraphim in the 59th minute and Abdel Rahman Souci in the 89th minute.

With this victory, Al Wasl raised its score to 33 points in fifth place, while Al Dhafra’s score froze at 18 points in twelfth place, making its position more complicated in the struggle for survival.
