The new list of the UAE national team… 6 new faces and the exclusion of 3 major stars

The technical staff of the UAE national football team, led by Romanian coach Olario Cosmin, announced the new “white” list, which includes 24 players, in preparation for the internal camp scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi during the period from 23 to 30 of this month.

The list included: Ali Khasif, Adel Al-Hosani, Hamad Al-Maqbali, Badr Nasser, Richard Akonnor, Goulaber Lima, Sasha, Khalifa Al-Hammadi, Leonardo Amismico, Marcos Milione, Mohamed Rabie, Guilherme da Silva, Ali Saleh, Abdullah Hamad, Mohamed Abbas, Mamadou Coulibaly, Yahya Nader, Issam Fayez, Nicholas Jimenez, Yahya Al-Ghassani, Hareb. Abdullah, Ousmane Camara, Youri Cesar, and Bruno Oliveira.

The list witnessed the appearance of six players for the first time in the national team jersey: Youri Cesar, Guilherme Bala (Shabab Al-Ahly), Othman Kamara (Sharjah), Mamadou Coulibaly (Al-Jazira), Leonardo Amsimiko (Al-Dhafra), and Goulaber Lima (Al-Nasr).

The list also included the return of a number of players who were absent during the last period, most notably: Khalifa Al Hammadi, Abdullah Hamad, Adel Al Hosani, Muhammad Abbas, Badr Nasser, and Issam Fayez.

On the other hand, the list witnessed the absence of Al Ain goalkeeper Khaled Issa from the national team for the first time in many years, in addition to the exclusion of Sharjah duo Caio Lucas and Luan Pereira.

This camp comes as part of the team’s preparations for upcoming matches, as part of the technical staff’s efforts to experiment with new elements and enhance its technical options during the next stage.
