Workshops and interactive sessions on the fifth day of the Fujairah Children’s Book Fair

FUJAIRAH, 31st October / WAM / The Fujairah Children’s Book Fair, organized by the Office of the Crown Prince of Fujairah in cooperation with the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority at the Exhibition Center in Dibba Al-Fujairah, presented a variety of specialized publications by major authors that suit the different tastes of reading lovers, children and young people.
Yesterday, the exhibition witnessed the launch of the “I Want to Be Rich” series by children’s and young adult literature writer Fatima Al-Aleeli, a series consisting of 12 books. Al-Aleeli expressed her happiness at participating for the first time in the Fujairah Children’s Book Fair in its second session, which is full of the diversity of publishing houses and participating titles, and is considered a valuable cultural station that enriches the child’s reading and cognitive experience.
On its fifth day, the exhibition hosted a group of interactive and educational workshops and sessions that witnessed a wide turnout and participation from school students who interacted with its creative and cultural content in an atmosphere of enthusiasm. The exhibition also welcomed families and their children, exceeding the turnout in the previous days, which reflects its success in consolidating its position as a cultural platform that combines knowledge, creativity and community interaction.
Al-Futtaim Educational Foundation participated in two workshops, the first on the book “Home is a Paradise” and dealing with the concepts of patriotism and belonging, and the second on “How do I deal with difficult situations” and aimed to develop children’s skills in dealing with daily challenges in a positive and constructive manner.
For her part, Samah Abu Bakr Ezzat, the Egyptian writer, expressed her happiness at participating in the exhibition, praising the good organization that reflects its success in consolidating its position as an important scientific reading platform. She participated in two workshops, the first entitled “From the End the Story Begins,” which aimed to stimulate children’s imagination and teach them the foundations of story writing in an innovative manner, and the second entitled “Ali and his Smart Friend,” which carried educational and humanitarian messages about friendship and relying on positive intelligence in facing life situations. Daily.
During the exhibition, journalist Muhammad Al-Hawari presented a workshop entitled “The Lens of Human Empathy,” which aimed to introduce children to the values of empathy and compassion through images and words.
The workshop “Making book dividers,” presented by student Amal Othman from the Higher Colleges of Technology, received a wide response from school students, as they learned about innovative ways to design artistic dividers that add an aesthetic touch to books and encourage them to read and care about the appearance of their books.
Writer Doha Al-Khasawneh also presented two workshops, the first entitled “A Cup of Heritage,” during which she discussed the fragrance of the past and the authenticity of Arab popular heritage, and the second entitled “Let’s Soar Together.”
For his part, writer Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharhan presented two workshops, the first entitled “Three Squares and a Story in Comics,” which focused on the basics of creating comic stories, while the second workshop, “Create Your Influential Digital Personality,” addressed the importance of building digital identity in an ethical, creative manner that reflects the values and knowledge of children and adolescents.
The main stage of the exhibition hosted the “Read, Learn and Create” workshop by writer Nour Arab, which focused on motivating children to love reading through innovative methods that combine learning and practical creativity.
The House of Philosophy pavilion hosted a “Make It Yourself” workshop presented by Bashaer Al-Lailili, while the two students, Aisha Al-Yamahi and Aisha Al-Madhani, participated in the “Make Your Own Story” workshop, which focused on encouraging participants to write their own stories.
For her part, writer Haya Al-Qassim combined fun reading with motor activities through an interactive workshop entitled “Interactive Storytelling – Who Am I?”
A number of young visitors to the exhibition from schools in Fujairah and the Eastern Province expressed their overwhelming happiness at their presence in the second edition of the Fujairah Children’s Book Fair, noting that this experience gave them a unique opportunity to get to know the world of books closely, and explore the worlds of imagination and knowledge it holds.
