Liverpool and Manchester City confuse the Egyptian national team’s accounts before the friendly match against Nigeria

The British newspaper The Telegraph revealed that the English clubs Liverpool and Manchester City are considering rejecting the duo Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush from joining the upcoming Egypt national team camp, in preparation for the friendly match against Nigeria during the international break.
According to the report, the decision comes due to the two clubs’ desire to maintain the players’ readiness and avoid exposing them to fatigue or injuries, especially with the pressure of matches in the English Premier League and the Champions League during the month of November.
The report indicated that the Egyptian Football Association is continuing its contacts with Officials of the two clubs to confirm the participation of the two stars, in light of the desire of the national team’s technical staff, led by Hossam Hassan, to rely on them during the preparation period, in preparation for the upcoming African Cup of Nations.
The Egyptian national team’s friendly match against its Nigerian counterpart will be held on Saturday, December 14, and it is the match that is considered a final and important rehearsal before competing in the African Cup of Nations, which begins early next year.
