“Sharjah National Oil” completes drilling and testing the second well in the Hadiba field

Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) announced a new achievement after successfully drilling and testing the second well, “Hadiba-02”, located to the north of the Al Sajaa field in Sharjah, which comes as part of the evaluation and development work carried out by the corporation in the Hadiba onshore gas field.

The presence of additional gas reservoirs

The results of completing the drilling and testing of the “Hadiba-02” well revealed the presence of additional gas reservoirs, as the well was drilled to a total depth of 13,200 feet. The new well will be connected to the production line in the coming months, with the drilling program for the Hadiba field continuing in the coming months to assess the full extent of the field’s reservoirs.

This achievement is considered an advanced step in the development process of the field after the discovery of the first well, “Hadiba-01,” in 2024, which proved the presence of gas and associated liquids within geological structures called Al Thumama. The well, “Hadiba-01,” was brought into production, within a short period, to contribute to enhancing energy supplies in the emirate. The “Hadiba” field is also the fifth onshore gas and condensate field in the Emirate of Sharjah, and the second discovery during the past five years, which reflects the success of the efforts of the Emirate of Sharjah.
