Opening of the “Elite Educational Gateway 2025” exhibition, with the participation of 20 universities

DUBAI, 4th November, 2020 (WAM) – His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, opened the activities of the Elite Educational Gateway 2025 exhibition.

The opening was attended by Her Excellency Aisha Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, Brigadier Dr. Sultan Abdul Hamid Al Jamal, Director of the Dubai Police Academy, Brigadier Dr. Basem Hassan Al Naqbi, Deputy Director of the Officers College at the Sharjah Police Academy, and Butti Al Kindi, President of the Canadian University in Dubai, along with an elite group of academics and experts in the education sector. The exhibition aims to enable students to explore various academic opportunities and introduce them to higher education programs inside and outside the country, thus enhancing their awareness of their future academic and professional options.

Twenty local universities and eight international universities from among the best two hundred universities in the world are participating in the exhibition, displaying more than two hundred international academic programs within a special section for international admissions, which provides advisory services to facilitate registration procedures for students wishing to complete their university studies. His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri confirmed that organizing this event comes within the framework of Dubai’s keenness to support the process of education and innovation as they are two basic pillars in building a sustainable, knowledge-based future.

He said: “We are proud to be part of the initiatives that enable the youth of the Emirates to chart their academic and professional path with awareness and ambition. Our investment in minds is the most important investment in the future of Dubai and the Emirates.” For her part, Her Excellency Aisha Miran stressed that such initiatives embody the integration of roles between Dubai government institutions in supporting the educational system and preparing a generation capable of actively contributing to the development process in line with the Dubai 2033 Plan, its economic and social agendas, and the Dubai Education Strategy 2033.

It welcomed the cooperation with the Dubai Residency in this distinguished initiative that enhances students’ awareness and opens the horizons of global education to them, based on the vision of the wise leadership, which believes that building a creative person begins with empowering him with knowledge and high-quality education options, and providing him with academic and professional guidance that supports his journey in building his future with confidence. The exhibition includes opportunities for partial employment, encouraging discounts on tuition fees from participating universities, in addition to instant registration for the IELTS test and preparatory training courses for the test.

The exhibition witnesses the organization of the second edition of the Scientific Research Award, and the “Inspiring Teacher” initiative, which honors distinguished teachers.
