An artist was fined…she must pay this amount of money!

The Court of Cassation issued a final ruling rejecting the appeal submitted by the artist Mayar El-Beblawi against the decision to fine her 20 thousand pounds in the case of mutual insult and defamation between her and Sheikh Muhammad Abu Bakr. The court also rejected the counter-appeals submitted by both parties, so that the fine ruling became final.

The Economic Court of Appeal had previously ruled to cancel the imprisonment of Sheikh Muhammad Abu Bakr and merely fine him the same amount.
