Mansour bin Mohammed opens an exhibition "Gulfood Manufacturing 2025 "

DUBAI, 4th November, 2020 (WAM) – His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the National Olympic Committee, opened today the eleventh session of the Gulfood Manufacturing Exhibition 2025, whose activities will continue until November 6, at the Dubai World Trade Center, with unprecedented participation from sector experts, food and beverage producers, innovators and technology leaders from all over the world.
His Highness stressed that the Gulfood Manufacturing Exhibition 2025 represents a pivotal global platform for accelerating the smart and sustainable transformation in the food sector, noting that the unprecedented international participation this year reflects the world’s confidence in the ability of Dubai and the UAE to lead food innovation and build flexible and modern supply chains.
His Highness praised the environmentally friendly solutions, smart manufacturing systems, and modern innovations offered by the pavilions of major participating companies and countries, praising the spirit of cooperation and innovation that the exhibition embodies, and its position as a strategic destination for building a safer, more comprehensive, and more sustainable food future for all.
The exhibition is the most prominent global destination in the field of food manufacturing, bringing together the latest technologies in the field and opportunities worth billions of dollars at a time when the Middle East region is strengthening its position as a leading global power center in production based on artificial intelligence, through the application of advanced and interconnected Fourth Industrial Revolution systems, and in line with the UAE’s goals to increase its local food production by 30% before the year 2030.
During his tour of the exhibition, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the Symrise platform – Germany, where he was briefed on its advanced innovations in the field of flavors, sustainable food ingredients, and environmentally friendly environmental solutions.
Then His Highness stopped at the Chocolake Jordan pavilion, where he listened to an explanation about the company’s products and the sustainable manufacturing solutions it offers, including environmentally friendly production processes and supply chains.
His Highness also visited the Givaudan-Switzerland platform, where he learned about its latest solutions in the field of food flavors and fragrances, while reviewing the artificial intelligence techniques used in product development.
His Highness stopped at the Middleby Company – USA pavilion and learned about the latest advanced food processing equipment, including automated machines that enhance efficiency and safety in production.
Then His Highness visited the stand of ICD Company – Netherlands, which during the exhibition displays distribution solutions and specialized ingredients, with a focus on supporting innovation in the food industry, as well as the pavilion of Tetra Pak Company – Switzerland, during which it displays the latest sustainable packaging technologies, such as recyclable solutions that reduce the carbon footprint.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s tour at the Gulfood Manufacturing 2025 exhibition included a number of pavilions of participating countries.
His Highness visited the France Pavilion, which includes a group of companies specialized in various fields within the food manufacturing sector, and was briefed on the latest innovations of French companies in the manufacture of organic products and modern manufacturing technologies. His Highness also visited the Germany pavilion, which includes a number of companies working in the field of advanced food technology, including precision machinery and digital solutions.
His Highness concluded his tour of the exhibition by visiting the Italy pavilion participating in the exhibition and listening to an explanation about the contributions made by Italian companies in the field of sustainability and innovation in the food manufacturing sector, with a focus on traditional products reformulated in modern ways.
The current session of the exhibition witnesses a group of events, most notably the “FoodTech Summit”, with the participation of international figures and a group of experts from major companies, including Mars, Titan Capital, Unilever, Hive Capital, and others, in order to explore the future of the sector, the convergence between innovation, investment and policies, and the role of the leading event in defining the features of the food industry for the next decade.
The organization of the current session of the exhibition comes with expectations of a huge jump in the size of the global food manufacturing market to reach 318.29 billion US dollars by 2034, with artificial intelligence at the forefront of the sector’s growth through automation and machine learning at every stage of production.
