Mansour bin Zayed chairs a meeting "Ministerial for Development" With the participation of government agencies at the national level for the first time

Abu Dhabi, 5 November / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Cabinet, and Chairman of the Ministerial Council for Development, chaired the Council meeting, with the participation of a number of His Excellency Ministers and officials of federal and local government agencies in the country, for the first time, as part of the work of the annual meetings of the UAE government 2025.

During the meeting, joint national projects and initiatives were discussed in a number of areas of government coordination at the state level.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the efforts of the UAE government teams in making joint national initiatives and programs in various sectors a success, whether at the level of planning, preparation, implementation and follow-up. His Highness stressed that government efforts complement each other in order to achieve national goals, sustainable development and maintain the country’s leadership in global competitive indicators, and that the integration of government projects and plans contributes mainly to achieving the country’s national priorities, continuous improvement of the quality of services provided to members of society, and enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of the country in various sectors.

His Highness praised the efforts of all concerned parties, private sector institutions in the country, and members of society, including citizens and residents, for their effective role in implementing national policies and programs and achieving the goals set at the level of all sectors.

During the meeting, the most prominent areas of joint government coordination and proposed development projects were reviewed, especially in the sectors of infrastructure, roads, traffic congestion, energy, doing business, and empowering Emirati human resources in the labor market, in addition to highlighting the most prominent challenges existing in these sectors, ways to address them and creating opportunities and joint national projects to deal with them, and any priority government proposals or requirements that need to be focused on during the coming period, to address these challenges through government coordination at the state level.

The agenda of the Ministerial Development Council meeting included discussing the results of implementing studies prepared in the fields of economy, investment and industry, and draft regulatory decisions submitted by ministries and federal agencies in the field of environmental conservation, trade through modern technology, traffic regulation, and other sectors of government work in the country.

The results of the country’s participation in a number of regional and international events were also reviewed, including participation in the 2025 G20 Ministerial Meeting of Labor and Employment Ministers, and participation in the Enabling Business Environment Report issued by the World Bank Group.
