In the presence of Mohammed bin Rashid, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, reviews the emirate’s vision in building people and consolidating comprehensive development

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” witnessed a dialogue session of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, as part of the annual meetings of the UAE government 2025, which are being held in the capital, Abu Dhabi.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi stressed that building and empowering people represents the basic pillar of the comprehensive development process pursued by the Fujairah government, noting that all of the emirate’s projects are based on investing in people.

His Highness explained that building a human being begins with his awareness of himself and his identity, adding that the UAE is a leading global model in human empowerment and building, and that the union of the country itself represents an inspiring story of human struggle and steadfastness in the face of challenges.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi said that the Fujairah government gives education a top priority as it is the cornerstone of achieving sustainable development and individual awareness, stressing that scientific research is no longer a luxury, but rather a necessity for investing and sustaining resources.

His Highness pointed out that the Fujairah Research Center was established to support sustainable research and innovation in the fields of environment, food security, and wildlife and marine life conservation, in addition to launching the “Emirati Researcher” initiative to support and finance pioneering scientific projects, and various initiatives that include the scholarship program for teaching languages, the “Mental Arithmetic Challenge” initiative, the science club and innovation projects, and “Fujairah Youth: Technology Pioneers.”

His Highness stressed that sports in Fujairah represent a way of life, pointing out that individuals who are physically, mentally and psychologically healthy are capable of achieving for themselves and their country, pointing out that what the emirate has achieved in the field of martial arts, marine and mental sports has strengthened its position as a prominent sports destination.

Regarding the empowerment of human cadres, His Highness said: “Youth are our strongest bet and our most important investment,” noting that the Fujairah government has worked to establish intellectual, dialogue, and competitive platforms such as the “Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi Council, in addition to the living languages ​​education program, and the student scholarship program to South Korea.”

Regarding developing the government work system, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi stressed that investing in human resources represents a major priority for the Fujairah government, explaining that improving the level of government service provision means a better quality of life, greater productivity, and more prosperity.

His Highness pointed out that the Fujairah government has established an approach to excellence through the Fujairah Government Excellence Program, the Fujairah Award for Distinguished Government Performance, and the Mohammed bin Hamad Leadership Preparation Program, in addition to strengthening partnerships and cooperation agreements between government and private institutions.

Regarding the tourism and culture axis, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi said that the concept of tourism in Fujairah has become an integrated system that combines experience, sustainability, cultural identity and community participation, indicating that the emirate is continuing to promote cultural and artistic tourism through projects that consolidate the Arab-Islamic identity and establish conscious generations that possess the tools of knowledge and thought, and attract the world to Fujairah.

His Highness pointed out that adventure tourism represents a new dimension in tourism development through projects such as the Fujairah Adventure Center and the Fujairah Adventure Park, adding: “Tourism is transferring your values, identity, and culture to others through human experience, open participation in learning, and acquiring useful lessons.”

His Highness explained that the Emirate of Fujairah has become a leading sports destination at the regional and international levels thanks to its advanced infrastructure and organizational capacity, which enabled it to host the most important international sports tournaments.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi stressed that culture preserves human value and essence in times of transformations and changes, adding that preserving our Arab identity, our Emirati cultural heritage, and our Islamic values ​​is a shared responsibility.

His Highness added: “Strategic plans and development projects are not complete without culture, as it is the home of identity and the foundation that makes the individual a conscious partner in shaping the future of the nation. Our culture is our identity, and the source of our pride in our land and our roots.”

His Highness pointed out that cultural projects in the emirate, such as the Fujairah Children’s Book Fair, contribute to promoting and spreading the culture of reading and knowledge among children and adolescents.

His Highness continued: “We rely on culture as a bridge that connects minds, and an extension of the UAE’s approach to coexistence,” pointing out that the world today is in dire need of understanding each other, coexistence and peace, and culture, with its soft power and great influence, is our best way to do that.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi stressed that building the human being is a national responsibility, in which everyone participates, and begins with the individual himself, pointing out that the basis of the work of governments is based on the benefit of the people and the service of the nation, and that successful governments are the ones that formulate their policies to keep pace with the needs of the individual in the various stages of his life, pointing out that the involvement of the individual in the development process represents a fundamental pillar in empowering him and enhancing his role in building the future.

His Highness added: “Founding generations on the values ​​of belonging, patriotism, and a sense of responsibility makes them the guardians of national identity in the face of the challenges of the times, and the true guarantor of development.”
