Al-Ahly defeats Sporting and qualifies to face Smouha in the Super Handball final
The men’s handball team at Al-Ahly club won over its counterpart Sporting with a score 29-22 in the local handball super semi-final in the New Administrative Capital Hall, qualifying for the final.
Ahly will meet its counterpart Smouha in the final on November 12th in the Emirates after the Alexandria team qualified at the expense of Zamalek with a score 29-28.
The Competitions Committee of the Handball Federation, headed by Saeed Abdel Moneim, announced the setting of a later date for the eleventh round of the men’s professional league, which was scheduled for yesterday, Tuesday, due to the local Super League.
The Handball Federation praised the great role of the United Sports Association and the fruitful cooperation in coordination and understanding in order to serve and develop Egyptian competitions and market Egyptian handball in a way that befits it, its international reputation, and reflects its value.
The African Handball Federation decided to establish The African Super Cup and the African Cup Winners’ Cup next May, with the participation of Al-Ahly and Zamalek from Egypt in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
