US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the United States has lost “some sovereignty” After the socialist Zahran Mamdani won the mayorship of New York, he pledged to “address the matter.”

Trump added during an economic conference in Miami, Florida: “We lost some of our sovereignty last night in New York, but we will address the matter,” referring to the elections that brought Mamdani, a Democrat of Indian origin, and the first Muslim to hold this position in the largest American city.

The American president continued by saying that the United States must choose. “Between Communism and Common Sense.”

Tarrab concluded his speech by saying, “Our opponents are offering you an economic nightmare, but we are achieving an economic miracle,” referring to the election results that analysts see as a punishment for the current administration’s policies regarding purchasing power.

New York Mayor-elect Zahran Mamdani said on Tuesday that his decisive victory shows the way to defeat President Trump, who was A fierce critic of his policies. Mamdani explained in his victory speech in front of his performers: “If there is anyone who can show a nation betrayed by Donald Trump how to defeat him, it is the city that got him to where he is.” He explained that “New York will be the light in this time of political darkness.”

Mamdani (34 years old) is ahead of former state governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa, according to results issued by the New York City Board of Elections.

Mamdani will become the first Muslim mayor of the largest city in the United States when he officially takes office on January 1.

Trump made efforts to discourage New Yorkers from voting for Mamdani, but it appears that they did not. It was not enough, nor was his appeal to Jewish voters to prevent the Muslim candidate from becoming mayor of the city.

Trump also threatened before the elections to cut off federal funding to New York if Mamdani, who is considered from the left wing of the Democratic Party, won.
