Cristiano Ronaldo: I am an emotional person who cries and cannot contain my feelings

 

Whenever the world football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, appears in a television interview, he creates an event with his bold statements, his endless frankness, and his revelation of many things that he has come to see as normal, after they were a big dream and an endless ambition.

The 40-year-old Portuguese star, who currently plays for Al-Nassr Saudi Club, hosted British journalist Piers Morgan at his home during an interview that covered most of the pivotal events he has experienced in recent years, most notably the announcement of his engagement to Argentine model Georgina Rodriguez.

Cristiano described his companion Georgina as a “good woman,” who taught him a lot, and through her he began to see life from a different perspective, indicating that he considered himself lucky. Because he has a loving and close-knit family.

Ronaldo spoke about officially announcing his engagement to Georgina last August, after a love relationship that lasted eight years. Georgina appeared in a photo on her official Instagram page, placing the huge ring on her hand, while placing her other hand on top of Cristiano’s hand. He said: “Georgina is a unique woman who takes care of me, the family, and the house, and this is very important.” I knew her from the beginning, and she is the person who understands me and cares for me, and this is what I was looking for. She is not only the mother of my children, but the love of my life.”

Cristiano confirmed that he cried a little, and his eyes got teary. When he declared to Georgina his desire to get involved with her, he confirmed that he is an emotional person, and for this reason he cries a lot to express his feelings in all situations, and he cannot contain his feelings.

As for the wedding date, Ronaldo revealed that he plans to hold it after the 2026 World Cup, which ends in mid-July, saying: “We are planning to hold the wedding after the World Cup, but Georgina does not like large parties. She prefers private matters, and I will respect her wish.”

In another context of the interview, Ronaldo expressed his pride in being the first billionaire in the world of professional football, saying: “It is not arrogance, but the numbers do not lie. I was very happy when I learned that I had become a billionaire. It’s like the happiness of achieving the Ballon d’Or. I wasn’t crazy about it, but of course I was happy about it. It is human nature to love having a lot of money, and no matter how much money you get, you want more. But at some point, when you reach a certain amount, you sometimes realize that there are more important things than money. Money is important, but other things are important. Numbers never lie. When you look at the records, you will always see Cristiano Ronaldo, there at the top.”

As for the most expensive thing he bought, Ronaldo revealed that last year he bought a private plane, which may be the most expensive thing he has ever paid for, after he had been using the same plane for ten years, and he loved refurbishing it. He explained that he loves buying cars as an investment, and that he has about 42 cars.

Ronaldo also confirmed, during the interview, that he is a very frank man, so he does not prefer to do many television interviews, because he is honest and does not flatter, and calls things by their proper names. Regarding the date of his retirement, he said: “I have not determined my retirement date yet, but it will be soon. Without a doubt, I will be ready for this moment. Will I cry?… Without a doubt, I will cry. Because it is very difficult, and I am honest about that.”
