Abu Dhabi Culture and Tourism strengthens its partnership with the… "Expedia" During the World Travel Market 2025

ABU DHABI, 6 November / WAM / The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi has strengthened its partnership with the Expedia Group, one of the most prominent online travel agencies in the world, to attract more visitors from key priority markets, driving sustainable tourism growth in the emirate.
During the World Travel Market 2025 exhibition in London, His Excellency Saleh Mohammed Al Jaziri, Director General of Tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and Jennifer Andre, Vice President of Business Development for Expedia Group Advertising, signed a multi-year agreement that defines the frameworks for expanded cooperation between the two sides, and witnesses the launch of advertising campaigns and targeted promotional initiatives in 15 major markets through the group’s platforms and applications, including Expedia and Vrbo. And “Hotels.com”, to enhance awareness of the exceptional tourism and cultural elements in Abu Dhabi, and to invite travelers from all over the world to explore its diverse experiences.
This step comes as an extension of the great success of the “Sunshine Holiday Card” campaign, which was launched by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi in cooperation with the Expedia Group during the Arabian Travel Market 2025. The expanded partnership focuses on intensifying promotional campaigns and consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as a distinguished destination, while highlighting its rich culture, landmarks and inspiring offers.
His Excellency Saleh Mohammed Al Jaziri said: “Strategic partnerships with leaders in the global travel sector, such as the Expedia Group, support our ambitious long-term vision aimed at achieving sustainable growth in various tourism markets. This expanded cooperation contributes to enhancing Abu Dhabi’s presence on the international tourism map, and highlights its unique cultural and entertainment experiences. We continue our efforts to present Abu Dhabi to the world as a vibrant destination that welcomes everyone throughout the year, opening new horizons for the prosperity of the tourism sector in the emirate.”
This partnership places Abu Dhabi at the top of the “wish list” of travelers looking for unforgettable holidays by promoting its offers through the Expedia network of brands and platforms.
Upcoming initiatives focus on increasing the number of visitors during the winter holiday season and beyond, through strategic campaigns that showcase the diversity of tourism, cultural and entertainment experiences in Abu Dhabi, and provide easy and integrated access to basic reservation services for flights, hotels, cruises and tourist tours in the emirate.
