Mediterranean ministers meet at the end of November in Barcelona to adopt a new strategic vision for a stronger Euro-Mediterranean partnership

The foreign ministers of the Union for the Mediterranean countries will meet at the end of this month in the Spanish city of Barcelona, within the framework of the Union’s tenth regional forum, which is being held this year under the slogan “Together for a Stronger Euro-Mediterranean Partnership.”
A Union for the Mediterranean statement said, today, Thursday, that the city of Barcelona will transform, during the period from 22 to 28 November, into a center for Mediterranean dialogue, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the launch of the “Process.” Barcelona.
The statement added that the week’s activities will witness the participation of representatives of ministries, regions, cities, civil society, and experts, through a rich program that includes: a Euro-Mediterranean summit for the regions, a conference for Mediterranean cities, a workshop on forest fires, a civil society conference, and a strategic dialogue on enhancing regional resilience and recovery.
The Union explained that the week will conclude with a ministerial meeting that will adopt the Union’s new strategic vision from For the Mediterranean, and the launch of the new European Charter for the Mediterranean, in addition to a cultural event to commemorate “Mediterranean Day”.
The Union stressed that the forum – which is held under the slogan “Together for a Stronger Euro-Mediterranean Partnership” – renews the commitment that multilateral cooperation remains the most effective path to achieving peace, stability and common prosperity.
The Union for the Mediterranean concluded its statement by emphasizing that this event does not represent just a historical milestone, but rather an opportunity to transform Contemplation leads to joint collective action.
