6 medals… the harvest of the Egyptian national team in the World Table Tennis Championship for people with mental disabilities

The curtain came down on the competitions of the Egyptian table tennis team for mental disabilities, in the World Championship that was held in Egypt during the period from 3 to 7 November this year, in Hall No. 2 in the indoor hall complex of Cairo International Stadium, with the participation of 10 countries from different continents of the world.
The champions and heroines of the Egyptian team were able to achieve 6 bronze medals during the competitions. Championship.
Where the women’s team, category II2, consisting of “Israa Ahmed, Maryam Abdel Fattah, and Rahma Khaled,” won the championship. The men’s team, category II2, consisting of “Karim El-Zeini, Mohamed El-Ilah, and Youssef Mohamed”, also won the bronze medal. Also won the bronze medal.
Rahma Khaled succeeded in winning the bronze medal in the women’s singles competition in II2, and the duo Rahma Khaled and Maryam Abdel Fattah also won the bronze medal in the women’s doubles competition in the same category.
In the II3 category, the duo Marwan Imad and Nour Islam achieved the bronze medal in the mixed doubles.
The pair consisting of Abdullah Ahmed and Ivan from Bulgaria also won a bronze medal in the same category.
Egypt is preparing to host the World Games for Intellectual Disabilities in 2027, making it the first African country to organize this major global sporting event.
