Book signing "Artificial womb" By Jamal Al Suwaidi at the Sharjah International Book Fair

Sharjah, 9 November / WAM / The Sharjah International Book Fair 2025 witnessed the signing of His Excellency Professor Dr. Jamal Sanad Al Suwaidi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, on his new book entitled “The Artificial Womb: The World After Human Reproduction,” as part of the activities of the 44th session held under the slogan “Between You and the Book.”
The signing ceremony was followed by an extensive intellectual symposium that discussed the scientific, social and ethical dimensions of the book, in the presence of an elite group of intellectuals, academics and thinkers.
Dr. Al Suwaidi stressed in his speech that the book deals with the development of artificial womb technology and its future effects on humans and society, explaining that this technology may represent a medical revolution in treating infertility and protecting women from the risks of pregnancy, but it also raises ethical, religious and legal questions that require global discussion and careful regulation.
The symposium witnessed interventions from a number of researchers, including Dr. Abdullah Al-Awadhi, Dr. Noura Nasser Al-Karbi, and Dr. Khaled bin Qaqa, who agreed that the book constitutes a qualitative intellectual addition that presents a balanced scientific and humanitarian vision for an issue that affects the future of humanity.
The participants stressed that “The Artificial Womb” is one of the most prominent intellectual publications of 2025, due to its in-depth presentation of the relationship between science, religion and ethics in the era of major technological transformations.
