The Emirates Scouts Association hosts the Arab Youth Scout Forum in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, 10 November / WAM / Yesterday, the Emirates Scouts Association hosted the activities of the Sixth Arab Scout Youth Forum in Abu Dhabi, under the slogan “Ready for Digital Life / Led by an Arab Scout,” which is organized by the Arab Scout Organization “Arab Scout Territory” in cooperation with the Emirates Scouts Association, at the Yas Convention Center on Yas Island, and continues until November 14th.

The forum is organized with the support and cooperation of a number of government agencies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, the Department of Community Development, the Department of Education and Knowledge, and the Arab Youth Center, in addition to other national institutions concerned with youth and volunteer work.

The forum, which is a regional scouting event dedicated to young people aged 18 to 26 years of both genders, representing young people in the 19 Arab Scouting Associations, aims to enhance the participation of Arab youth in scouting decision-making, develop digital leadership skills and pioneer change, support innovation and creativity in scouting work, discuss the future challenges of the scouting movement in light of digital transformation, and build sustainable Arab youth partnerships.

The forum’s activities will witness many dialogue sessions discussing the strategies of the World Organization of the Scout Movement and its future vision for empowering youth in leadership. During the forum, six youth advisors will also be elected to represent the voice of youth in the Arab Scout Committee and participate in its meetings during the next session “2026-2028.”

His Excellency Dr. Salem Abdul Rahman Al Darmaki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Scouts Association and Vice Chairman of the Arab Scout Committee, stressed that hosting the Sixth Arab Scout Youth Forum in Abu Dhabi represents an important Arab station in which the energies of young scouts from various countries come together to exchange experiences and formulate common visions about the future of the Scout movement in the Arab world.

He explained that this hosting embodies the vision of the UAE, which places youth at the top of its priorities, and believes in their ability to lead the future development process, pointing out that investing in people is the greatest investment that guarantees sustainable progress and prosperity.

Al Darmaki said that the association was keen to ensure that the forum’s activities reflected the national values ​​and vision of the wise leadership in empowering youth, by preparing specific training programs that combine technical knowledge, leadership skills and social innovation, in a way that qualifies the Arab Scouts to lead the transformation towards more digitally prepared societies.

For his part, Dr. Hani Abdel Moneim, Secretary-General of the Arab Scout Organization and Regional Director, confirmed that the sixth forum comes at a pivotal stage in the history of the Arab Scout Movement, noting that it is not just a youth meeting, but rather a strategic platform for creating the future of Arab Scouting.

Abdel Moneim explained that the forum discusses fundamental issues such as digital transformation, activating youth participation, and enhancing governance and transparency in scouting work, stressing that this edition represents a starting point for a new phase that highlights the energies of Arab youth and allows them to lead scouting initiatives in their homelands.

He expressed the organization’s deep appreciation to the UAE and the Emirates Scouts Association for generously hosting and providing an ideal environment for holding this major Arab event, stressing that Abu Dhabi has proven its position as a center for Arab and international youth dialogue.

For her part, Nour Al-Hassani, President of the Sixth Arab Scout Youth Forum and Vice-Chairman of the Arab Scout Youth Advisors Committee, said that the forum’s achievements at the regional and international levels are the fruit of the Emirati vision to invest in youth and empower women in leadership positions, stressing that initiative, teamwork and belief in one’s own abilities are the keys to true success, and that every young man and woman today possesses the tools that enable them to make a difference in their society and their country.

The forum’s activities include workshops and dialogue sessions on youth leadership, governance, digital transformation, youth protection, and sustainability, in addition to interactive sessions on artificial intelligence and future skills in scouting.

The Forum’s activities also include an integrated cultural and heritage program aimed at introducing participants to the history of the Emirates and its modern renaissance. The program includes a visit to “TeamLab Phonemina – Abu Dhabi” to discover the use of digital transformation in creativity, and a visit to the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum. The Forum also organizes an Emirati Day at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, where participants live a heritage experience that reflects Emirati values ​​of generosity and cooperation, and enhances Arab identity and connection to authentic scouting values.

The forum concludes with a vision that foresees a digital future for the Arab Scout Movement, through strategic recommendations that support youth empowerment and building an innovative leadership generation that contributes to creating a sustainable Arab future.
