The Italian President invites the Supreme Defense Council to meet next Monday

The Italian Presidency announced that President Sergio Mattarella called for the Supreme Defense Council to convene next Monday at the Quirinale Palace, “the headquarters of the Presidency of the Italian Republic.

The Italian Presidency clarified – according to a statement issued today, Monday – that the agenda includes a review of the development of the ongoing conflicts and peace initiatives, especially in Ukraine and the Middle East.

He added that the Supreme Defense Council will evaluate the threats; Including its cognitive dimensions and its potential repercussions on the security of the European Union and Italy.
