المملكة: Minister of Hajj and Umrah: More than a million pilgrims completed their contracts early in an exceptional edition of the Hajj Exhibition and Conference
His Excellency confirmed Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah said that the Hajj Exhibition and Conference in its fifth edition reflects the scale of development witnessed by the Hajj and Umrah sector, noting that the number of visitors exceeded 160 thousand visitors, an increase of 33% compared to last year, while the event witnessed the participation of delegations from more than 150 countries around the world.
His Excellency raised in his speech during Opening of the conference Our deepest thanks and gratitude go to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – for his generous patronage of the exhibition and conference, and to His Highness the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God protect him – for his continued support and constant keenness to develop the services of the guests of God and ensure their safety and comfort.
A distinguished version and participation by various parties
Dr. Al-Rabiah explained that one of the most prominent features of the current version is The participation of the King Abdulaziz House in the Forum on the History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques, in the presence and active participation of His Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the House, stressing that this participation added a rich historical and cultural dimension to Conference Activities.
His Excellency indicated that the exhibition witnessed the participation of about 300 governmental and private entities that reviewed their efforts in developing the services provided to the guests of God, stressing that the integration of these efforts reflects the Kingdom’s vision of providing an easy, safe, and integrated Hajj and Umrah experience.
Most notable achievements
The Minister of Hajj and Umrah revealed an unprecedented historical achievement represented by the completion of contracts for more than a million pilgrims in the Holy Sites before the Hajj season. In six months, he pointed out that this achievement reflects the major technical and administrative transformation witnessed by the Hajj and Umrah system.
He also pointed out that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has signed agreements organizing Hajj with 77 countries, while the private sector has concluded more than 3,000 agreements with Hajj organizers around the world, which enhances international cooperation and consolidates the Kingdom’s role in developing services for pilgrims from various countries.
At the conclusion of his speech, His Excellency Dr. Tawfiq announced Al-Rabiah announced the launch of the Umrah and Visitation Forum, which will be held in Medina early next January, to be a new platform for exchanging experiences and continuing to develop the Umrah and Visitation system in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
