Taliban from "New York Abu Dhabi" They receive a Google PhD Fellowship

ABU DHABI, 13 November / WAM / Two doctoral students at NYU Abu Dhabi, Ann Mai and Minghao Shao, have been awarded the 2025 Google Doctoral Fellowship, joining 255 students around the world who have been honored for their innovative research in computer science and related fields.
The prestigious fellowship provides annual funding and connects recipients with leading Google researchers as mentors.
May received the Fellowship in Systems, Networks and Cloud Computing for his work at the intersection of databases and meta-analytics, a field that focuses on determining optimal decisions based on data-driven rules.
As for Minghao Shao, winner of the Privacy, Safety and Security category, his research focuses on agent systems, which consist of sequential, autonomous intelligent actions designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of AI-powered applications.
Minghao Shao conducts his research under the supervision of Professor Muhammad Shafiq at NYU Abu Dhabi and Professor Ramesh Carey at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, reflecting the strong collaboration between NYU centers around the world.
The Google PhD Fellowship Program supports outstanding graduate students conducting research in computer science and related disciplines, fostering collaboration between academia and industry to address some of the world’s most complex technical challenges.
It is worth noting that, according to the Nature Index, NYU Abu Dhabi ranks first in the country in terms of the number of research published in the most important scientific journals.
