Authors and writers who deal with the experience of art and theater and intellectual transformations in "Sharjah Book"

Sharjah, November 13 / WAM / Playwrights from the Emirates and Greece have confirmed that theater, despite its various schools and experiences, is still the most capable of expressing the human being and confronting his transformations because it is the place where the major questions about destiny, justice and freedom are asked.
The participants unanimously agreed that the presence of Arab and Greek theater today reflects the continuation of the humanitarian message of this art, despite the challenges of the digital age and changing patterns of reception.
This came during a dialogue session entitled “The Current Arab and Greek Theater,” held within the activities of the 44th session of the Sharjah International Book Fair, with the participation of the Greek writer and playwright Panayotis Mentis and the Emirati playwright Talal Mahmoud, where they discussed the development of theater in the two countries and its role in shaping cultural and social awareness.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing that theater, whether in Athens or Sharjah, remains an art for man before it is an art for display, and that it is the space that still maintains its ability to rediscover man and question him through light, word, and live presence.
In a session entitled “Theater between text and presentation,” the Saudi writer and playwright, Dr. Marwan Al-Muzaini, stressed that true Arab theater is born from society and returns to it, stressing that a successful theatrical text is one that captures the pulse of the people and expresses them honestly, not one that pursues the distant past or repeats what was said before.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Oka, an expert in the growth and spread of digital content, confirmed that building a personal brand has today become a necessity for every person who seeks excellence, trust, and sustainability in the world of content, explaining that the personal brand is what distinguishes a person from others, and it is the image that takes root in people’s minds about him and gives him new opportunities and a stable income based on trust and distinction.
This came during the “Building a Personal Brand” workshop at the social media station within the exhibition’s activities, where Oka explained that content today is witnessing unprecedented competition, with more than a million videos being uploaded daily, while the number of users of digital platforms has reached more than three billion users around the world, addressing the elements of building a personal brand, which include the values that a person represents, his voice, the way he presents himself, the content he publishes, and his goal, in addition to his digital presence and the evidence represented by his achievements, certificates, and success stories.
A specialized workshop entitled “Copyright in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” presented by Dr. Muhammad Mahmoud Al Kamali, member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Copyright Management Association, brought together a number of writers, publishers and creators and provided a comprehensive reading of the legal and ethical challenges facing the content industry in a time when technology algorithms interfere with human creativity.
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the presence of Emirati crafts in the contemporary cultural scene, the Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council organized an interactive workshop in cooperation with Majid Magazine.
It was presented by Alia Al Ali, where children from different age groups participated in an applied experience during which they explored the aesthetics of the Talli craft, as it is one of the most prominent craft symbols in the Emirati heritage because of its artistic precision and its established presence in the local textile memory.
