Greek Minister of Immigration: Egyptian labor is considered the most efficient and suitable for the Greek market

The Greek Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Tanos Plevris, confirmed that Egyptian labor is considered the most efficient and suitable, and a priority for the Greek market, which needs many skilled and efficient Egyptian labor.
The Greek Minister said – during his meeting with the Egyptian Ambassador to Athens, Ambassador Omar Amer – that Greece intends to expand the scope of the seasonal labor agreement to include the field of construction.
He stressed the depth of Egyptian-Greek relations and his great appreciation for Egypt’s position and role in maintaining security and stability in the region, and his aspiration for continued coordination and joint cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Ambassador Amer touched on many issues of concern to the members of the Egyptian community in Greece, the most important of which is related to settling their legal status, in a manner that takes into account and preserves all the rights and status of the Egyptian citizen, in order to avoid illegal immigration because of its negative repercussions on the security and safety of citizens and endangering their lives.
