Before the Geneva talks, Iran sees a more realistic American position regarding its nuclear file

She said Iran The American position on Its nuclear file became more realistic, on the eve of the two parties’ contract in Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is heading to Geneva to participate in the second round scheduled for Tuesday, Iranian state television announced.
This round of indirect talks, according to Tehran, will be held on Tuesday with Omani mediation, after a first round held in early February in Muscat.
Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei said, as quoted by the official IRNA agency: "Looking at the discussions in Muscat, we can cautiously conclude that the American position on the Iranian nuclear issue has become more realistic"
He stressed that "Iran’s inalienable rights have been recognized under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty"including "Peaceful uses of nuclear energy, including enrichment"
Iran insists that the discussions be limited to the nuclear file, which Western countries suspect is aimed at developing an atomic weapon, something Tehran always denies.
On the other hand, American and Western officials spoke about the need for any agreement with the Islamic Republic to include research into its ballistic program and its support for armed groups in the region.
Araqchi-Grossi Discussions
The Iranian Foreign Minister met in the Swiss city with the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, and will also meet with his Swiss and Omani counterparts, according to what the Foreign Ministry reported. And state television.
After the meeting, Grossi wrote to X: "I have just concluded in-depth technical discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi in preparation for important negotiations scheduled tomorrow in Geneva.".
