9 countries issue a joint statement supporting a draft resolution presented to the UN Security Council regarding Gaza

New York, November 14 / WAM / The United States, Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Jordan, and Turkey expressed their joint support for the draft Security Council resolution drafted by the United States in consultation and cooperation with Council members and partners from the region regarding Gaza, which is currently being considered by Council members.

In a joint statement issued by the nine countries and distributed by the Permanent United States Mission to the United Nations today, he indicated that this draft resolution comes within the framework of a comprehensive and historic plan to end the conflict in Gaza, which was announced on September 29 and received broad support during a meeting in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh.

The joint statement referred to the meeting held by the signatory countries during the high-level week at the United Nations in order to launch this process, which it indicated represents a path towards Palestinian self-determination and the establishment of the Palestinian state.

She stressed that this initiative represents a sincere effort and provides a realistic path towards peace and stability, not only between Palestinians and Israelis, but throughout the region.
