"A wish that brings joy to the hearts of children on World Diabetes Day

Abu Dhabi, November 15, 2017 – The Make a Wish Foundation celebrated World Diabetes Day by fulfilling the wishes of 11 children during a special event organized with the support of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and hosting the Imperial College London Diabetes and Endocrinology Center and the HealthPlus Diabetes Center, affiliated with the M42 Group.

The event witnessed the presence of representatives of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Mona Al Jaber, member of the Board of Directors of the “Make a Wish” Foundation, and Noha Al-Shorbagy, Chief Operating Officer of the Foundation, in addition to an elite group of doctors, specialists, and families of children.

The wishes varied between electronic devices, interactive games, and travel trips.

Mona Al Jaber thanked the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development for its continued support, stressing that this cooperation embodies the values ​​of giving and social responsibility.

She expressed the Foundation’s pride in participating in the occasion, noting that since its founding, “Make a Wish” has fulfilled more than 1,600 wishes for children from more than 80 nationalities around the world.

For his part, Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, stressed that supporting these initiatives comes within the Fund’s approach to promoting social solidarity and child health care.

In turn, Dr. Mai Al Jaber, CEO of outpatient clinics at M42, praised the partnership that aims to improve the quality of life of children with diabetes, stressing that bringing joy to their hearts is an integral part of the group’s mission.
