The Abu Dhabi International Shotgun Organizing Committee reviews the committees’ preparations for the event

Al Ain, November 18 / WAM / The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Abu Dhabi International Shotgun Championship reviewed the tournament arrangements, the preparations of the various committees, the readiness of the facilities and logistical preparations.
The tournament, which is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region, is organized by the Weapons and Dangerous Materials Office, in cooperation with the UAE Federation and the International Shooting Federation for Sport Hunting (FITASC).
The committee held a field meeting at the headquarters of the Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club, which will host the event’s competitions during the period from 1 to 4 December, with the participation of an elite group of the most prominent international shooters, and with valuable financial prizes.
His Excellency Mohammed Suhail Al Neyadi, Director General of the Weapons and Dangerous Materials Office, headed the field tour during which he inspected the shooting ranges to determine the readiness of the facilities and logistical preparations, and to ensure the provision of services at international standards, in addition to creating an attractive environment for the public and families.
The Chairman of the Committee also reviewed the reports on the readiness of the fields hosting the competitions, and followed up on the progress of the registration process, which is witnessing a large turnout from shooters from various countries of the world, in an indicator that reflects the growing status of the tournament on the international shooting sports agenda. The readiness of the referees and technical staff from inside and outside the country was also emphasized.
The meeting, which was attended by the heads of the subcommittees in addition to the officials of the shooting competitions, witnessed the approval of the formation of the support work teams and the review of operating plans during the period preceding the start of the competitions, in order to ensure the best organizational picture for the tournament.
Al Neyadi stressed the organizing committee’s keenness to present an exceptional edition that keeps pace with the status of the UAE, especially since the tournament constitutes a platform for discovering and refining talent, and contributes to consolidating the country’s leadership in shooting sports, as it is an extension of the UAE’s ancient heritage in hunting and defense, in a way that enhances national identity and highlights shooting as an authentic heritage in Emirati culture.
He pointed out that Al Ain region’s hosting of the tournament reflects its growing status as a prominent sports and tourism center in the region, stressing that the event represents a qualitative addition to the UAE sports scene and embodies the confidence of international federations in the country’s organizational capabilities and its advanced infrastructure.
