“Food Security” issues the last tenders in 2025 to import 300 thousand tons of wheat

Today, the Public Authority for Food Security issued the sixth and final tender to import wheat for this year, for a quantity of (300) thousand tons for supply during the period (February – April 2026).

The head of the Public Authority for Food Security, Engineer Ahmed Al-Fares, said that the quantity offered comes within the framework of the authority’s strategic plans to maintain wheat stocks and meet the needs of milling companies.

He indicated that the quantity is distributed among (5) ships, (2) ships to Jeddah Islamic Port, and (3) ships to Yanbu Commercial Port.
