Sharjah Publishing City launches "Publishers platform"
Sharjah, November 20 / WAM / The Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone announced the creation of a set of exclusive digital services for its members that facilitate the work of publishers and facilitate their access to new markets in the region and the world under the name “Publishers Platform” to be a professional and exclusive tool for its users from Sharjah City publishers to facilitate the processes of buying and selling rights and displaying lists of publishing houses’ publications via direct electronic links with the ability to participate in international book fairs even when physical attendance is not possible.
The platform includes more than 350 publishing houses from 80 countries and provides a system of services that enhances distribution and marketing opportunities and expands the circle of professional presence of its members globally, thus expanding the scope of cooperation and creating new opportunities for content marketing on the international scene.
Saif Al Suwaidi, Director of Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, said: The launch of the Publishers Platform represents a qualitative step in Sharjah’s march towards developing the publishing industry and enhancing its global presence. It is a direct embodiment of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to make the emirate an incubator for writers and creators and a center for cultural and knowledge exchange between the Arab and international worlds.
He added: Through this platform, we give publishers and writers a practical tool to expand their professional networks and build new partnerships, which opens unprecedented horizons for cooperation and growth. We also affirm our permanent commitment to supporting our members through innovative solutions, advanced infrastructure, and initiatives that enhance the integration of the publishing system in Sharjah and make it a model to be emulated regionally and internationally.
