Al Mamzar Beaches will soon be a luxurious addition to the list of beach destinations in Dubai

Dubai Municipality continues to implement the work of developing both parts of Al Mamzar beaches. The creek and the Corniche, which will be completed in the near future at a cost of 400 million dirhams, will add to the shores of Dubai a new beach tourist destination with international entertainment standards, taking into account sustainability and quality of life standards, and supporting the emirate’s goals to be the most beautiful, most attractive, luxurious, urbanized and distinguished city with the luxurious tourist destinations and experiences it offers to its residents and visitors worldwide.

The project integrates with the objectives of the Steering Committee for Preserving the Civilized Appearance in Dubai, which aims to build an integrated system that guarantees the sustainability of the urban experience, and makes Dubai the most beautiful, sophisticated and civilized city in the world, as desired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, through qualitative projects and initiatives based on indicators that include; The Civilized Appearance Index, which measures the level of the city’s harmonious aesthetic and urban character, the Public Cleanliness Index, which monitors the city’s commitment to maintaining the cleanliness of its streets and facilities, the System Index, which measures the effectiveness of systems and policies that consolidate the cultural experience in Dubai, the Public Behavior Index, the community’s commitment to cultural values ​​and respect for laws and public order, and the Public Calm and Tranquility Index. These indicators also consolidate Dubai’s position as a culturally and humanly integrated city that combines urban beauty, moral elevation, and public order.

The new project also represents a pioneering landmark for Dubai Municipality in the field of developing beach infrastructure according to integrated standards and innovative designs, and equipped with entertainment, sports, and investment facilities that connect the creek and the Corniche in a complete flow to keep pace with the future, and be the most developed and attractive globally, as part of its plans to improve the experience of going to the beaches, through integrated projects that enhance the beauty and luxury of the city, and consolidate Dubai’s position on the global tourism map.

Dubai…a global destination for luxury

Engineer Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, said: “The Al Mamzar Beaches Development Project is a new step within Dubai Municipality’s goals to enhance Dubai’s position as a global beach tourism destination that offers exceptional experiences that combine luxury and sustainability, and raises the quality of life in the city through integrated and comprehensive facilities, and unique beach destinations and experiences that reflect Dubai’s aesthetic identity. Our goal is to make the city a cultural model for everyone who lives in or visits it, and the most beautiful and urbanized city in the world.” “In integration with the directives of the Steering Committee to preserve the civilized appearance of Dubai and its efforts to improve the life experience in the emirate.”

He added: “Al Mamzar beaches represent a model for employing new urban standards for beach design, which focus on providing beach facilities based on human experience and well-being. This project reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of the emirate’s residents and visitors, and supports Dubai’s excellence in providing an integrated and comprehensive modern urban environment that enhances the luxury of daily life.”

A new attraction with a modern experience

For his part, Badr Anwahi, Executive Director of the Public Utilities Corporation in Dubai Municipality, said: “The beaches of Al Mamzar, which are located in the Deira area, are a qualitative leap that serves the development of the region in an integrated manner, starting with improving the experience and journey of residents and visitors by providing comprehensive tourist and entertainment facilities, and designing the content of the beaches to suit all groups from families, youth, and children to the elderly and people of determination, which creates a new entertainment attraction point, and enhances the attractiveness of the region, which is rich in heritage and tourism details in a way Harmonious investment, commercial, social and tourism.”

Anouhi explained that the area of ​​Khor Al Mamzar Beach is 275,000 square metres, and its width ranges from 30 to 90 metres. While the area of ​​Al Mamzar Corniche Beach reaches 125 thousand square meters, and its width is 80 metres.

Luxury by international standards

The development works include the construction of the first floating pedestrian bridge linking the two banks of the creek with a length of 200 meters to maintain the flow and continuity of movement, and a beach for night swimming with a length of 300 meters and suitable for the requirements of people of determination, in addition to a walkway and running and bicycle paths along the beach with a length of 5.5 kilometers. It will connect Al Mamzar Creek to the Corniche, passing through Al Mamzar Park, as the first design of its kind in the region that combines beach paths and gardens. With a harmonious design between nature and luxury.

Al Khor Beach will have three play areas for children, two areas for recreational games and beach sports, rest and seating areas, barbecue areas, and a dock for jet skis. The beach will include 8 buildings for restrooms, changing rooms, and shower rooms, with 8 outdoor shower areas, in addition to providing 1,400 parking spaces.

While the Corniche will include a public beach designated for women, available for night swimming, according to a design that takes into account the highest international standards and meets privacy and security requirements, as the beach will be surrounded by a fence to ensure complete privacy for women.

In addition, the public beach on Al Mamzar Corniche will include an area designated for seasonal events and activities with an area of ​​5,000 square metres, another for skating games with an area of ​​2,000 square metres, children’s play areas, restrooms and beach sessions, in addition to investment activities.

Infrastructure development projects for tourist and beach facilities are a major part of Dubai Municipality’s strategic objectives aimed at building a sustainable and attractive city that provides advanced tourist and entertainment facilities, thus enhancing Dubai’s attractiveness, making its beaches a global model of luxury and quality of life, and consolidating the emirate’s position as a leading tourist destination in the world.
