Dubai, November 22 / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and an elite group of economic and social figures from the Syrian community in the country, witnessed the major public celebration held for the participation of the members of the Syrian community in celebrating their civilizational and cultural heritage, at the Dubai Exhibition Center in Expo City Dubai.
The celebration, which represented an opportunity to introduce members of all other cultures to aspects of the specificity of Syrian heritage, culture and arts, was attended by a large audience, most of whom were members of the Syrian community, with the number of attendees reaching more than 25 thousand people.

His Excellency added that the relations between the UAE and Syria are based on a long history, authentic heritage, and noble human values shared by the two peoples, stressing that these deep-rooted ties represent a solid foundation for promoting joint action for the good and development of the two peoples and the entire Arab nation.
His Excellency stressed that today’s celebration of sisterly Syria in the Emirates is an embodiment of the state’s vision led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” which is based on supporting brothers, deepening bridges of communication and cooperation, and consolidating the values of human solidarity and joint work for a more stable and prosperous future for the region and the Arab peoples.
His Excellency said that this celebration is also a celebration of the members of the Syrian community who live in the Emirates and contribute with their efforts and creativity to the development process in the country, offering his thanks and appreciation to them for their continuous giving and their high ability to work and achieve.
His Excellency noted that this occasion carries a message of love and reverence for the Syrian people, and confirms the UAE’s pride in Syria’s ancient heritage, its civilization extending over thousands of years, and its historical cities, which are among the oldest cities in the world, as well as the contributions of the Syrian people to human civilization and its scientific and cultural journey.
His Excellency pointed out the commitment of the two countries, the UAE and Syria, to deepening the bridges of friendship, brotherhood and love, and to work together to enhance stability, achieve development, and confirm cooperation in a way that achieves the benefit of the two peoples and supports the progress of the Arab nation.
His Excellency expressed his good wishes for sisterly Syria, praying to God to preserve it as a strong country with its children, proud of its history, confident in its future, and for its people to enjoy security, peace and stability.
His Excellency went on to say that the members of the Syrian community have always been distinguished by their love of the Arabic language and their high skills in expressing it, pointing to the “Our Life in the Emirates” competition launched by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence in cooperation with the National Fund on the occasion of the Year of Society, calling on the members of the Syrian community to participate widely in this competition, which opens the way to express their feelings towards the Emirates and its unique humanitarian model.
His Excellency concluded his speech by praying to God Almighty that Syria will always remain a country of peace and stability, and that the UAE will remain a land of coexistence and human brotherhood, and that the two countries together will form a symbol of the unity, progress and prosperity of the Arab nation among nations.
