The UAE Innovation Month returns to be organized under the slogan “The UAE Innovates,” emphasizing its role as a national and strategic umbrella to advance the process of innovation and enhance the adoption of future solutions in various vital sectors, and in support of consolidating the UAE’s position as the most innovative country in the world and a global center for creating pioneering ideas and developing innovative business models that support the path of comprehensive development.

The Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, confirmed that the UAE, with the visions and directives of its wise leadership, has made innovation a compass for government work, a societal culture, and an engine for development and positive change in the government work system and the national economy, which contributes to enhancing the quality of life and building a more prosperous and sustainable future.

He said that the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum strengthened the UAE’s leadership and made it a global model in innovation and attractive to talents and innovators, established an advanced concept of government innovation, established a distinguished model for enabling government work with innovation, and developed a comprehensive government methodology, centered on sustainability of innovation and building innovative national capabilities in various areas of government work.

He explained that the government innovation journey in the UAE is entering a new decade of qualitative progress towards leadership, based on a rich record of achievements that have consolidated the country’s position in global competitiveness indicators. He pointed out that adopting the month of November as an annual date for organizing the “UAE Innovates” month, starting in 2026, represents a new stage for consolidating the culture of innovation as an institutional practice and a comprehensive national approach that leads the process of sustainable development. He added that the “UAE Innovates” initiative has transformed within a decade into a platform. A national, unifying organization that includes governmental, private, and academic entities and community members, to participate in creating a more innovative and prosperous future. For her part, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, Hoda Al Hashemi, confirmed that “Emirates Innovates” has formed a comprehensive national platform that reflects the integration of government efforts in the Emirates to enhance the innovation system, build capabilities and empower the talented, and create an ideal environment for developing government work, which contributes to making qualitative shifts in all vital sectors within a clear approach centered on innovation.

She said that the UAE government has succeeded over the past decade in establishing government innovation as a culture and daily practice in the work of entities, and has adopted pioneering methodologies centered on the sustainability of innovation and turning it into a basic pillar in the development of services and operations.

She added that organizing the “Emirates Innovates 2026” events in November, starting next year, constitutes a starting point towards a new decade of the country’s innovation journey, in which the government opens broader horizons for development and adopts more innovative practices in various fields of work.
