Cooperation between "Zayed for people of determination" and"Khalifa Medical City" In the fields of care and rehabilitation

Abu Dhabi, 24 November / WAM / The Zayed Authority for People of Determination signed a memorandum of understanding with Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, a subsidiary of SEHA, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the fields of health care and rehabilitation, and providing comprehensive, high-quality medical services to people of determination, in line with the Abu Dhabi government’s vision of building a comprehensive and sustainable society that ensures quality of life for all.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Ali Al-Humaidan, Director General of the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, and His Excellency Saeed Jaber Al-Kuwaiti, Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.

The memorandum of understanding stipulates cooperation in providing periodic medical examinations, evaluation and specialized rehabilitation services by qualified medical teams, in addition to training medical personnel on the best methods of dealing with people of determination, and exchanging experiences in the field of health care and rehabilitation.

The memorandum includes specific initiatives, including providing a rehabilitation doctor on a regular basis within the authority, organizing field visits to evaluate affiliated students, in addition to examining the opening of a branch of the “Bee Café” café – run by people of determination – within the facilities of Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, with the aim of enhancing their integration into the work environment and empowering them economically.

In return, the Zayed Authority for People of Determination will provide Sheikh Khalifa Medical City with products from 3D printing workshops for a month free of charge, in addition to supporting the production of uniforms for medical staff through its sewing workshops, which reflects the spirit of integration and partnership and embodies the principle of “empowerment through work.”

His Excellency Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al-Humaidan stressed that this cooperation comes as a translation of the directives of the wise leadership in empowering people of determination in health and society, noting that the authority is working to ensure that they receive the best care and rehabilitation services in a way that enhances their independence, quality of life, and active participation in society.

He added that the Authority continues to build strategic partnerships with health sector institutions in the country, to expand the scope of its services in the areas of early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and sustainable rehabilitation, in a way that achieves integration of roles and enhances the comprehensive care system for people of determination from childhood until adulthood.

For his part, His Excellency Saeed Jaber Al-Kuwaiti said that “SEHA”, a subsidiary of the “PureHealth” group, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, places at the forefront of its priorities the provision of integrated, world-class healthcare services that contribute to improving the quality of life of all members of society, especially people of determination, who represent an essential part of our social fabric.

He explained that through this cooperation, work is being done to meet their treatment and rehabilitation needs in a way that guarantees them a decent life and equal opportunities for integration and active participation.

For his part, Badr Badr Al Qubaisi, Executive Director at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, said that the memorandum of understanding with the Zayed Higher Authority for People of Determination is a strategic step towards enhancing cooperation between health and social authorities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and confirms the joint commitment to empowering people of determination and providing a specialized therapeutic and rehabilitative environment that supports their development and integration.
