Global innovation platforms and a sustainable Chinese pavilion in "The Big Five" In Dubai

Dubai, 24 November / WAM / The 2025 edition of the Big 5 exhibition, which kicked off today at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will witness the participation of global innovation platforms and a sustainable Chinese pavilion built entirely from recyclable materials, which reflects the exhibition’s focus on technology, sustainability and empowering competencies.
Josine Heijmans, Senior Vice President of DMG Events, which organizes the exhibition, said that the 2025 edition focuses on four main axes, including enhancing the flexibility of supply chains, technological progress, sustainable construction, and enabling competencies.
She explained in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the exhibition includes for the first time a large Chinese pavilion on an area of more than 1,000 square meters, which was completely built using recyclable materials.
She added that this year the exhibition launched the “HVAC R World” platform to highlight the latest innovations in air conditioning and refrigeration technologies, in addition to the digital construction platform that displays innovative solutions for managing sustainable projects using artificial intelligence and 3D printing.
She noted that the exhibition provides broad knowledge programs that include 13 educational tracks, including new tracks for artificial intelligence and sustainability tools, in addition to the “Trade Links Breakfast” event to enhance cooperation between international participants and local buyers.
Hegemans stressed the exhibition’s support for emerging, small and medium-sized companies through the “Startup City” area, which brings together global innovations in the fields of building technology, urban and climate solutions, with opportunities to participate in a presentation competition to enhance the presence of entrepreneurs at the international level.
She pointed out that sustainability is a major focus of the current edition, as visitors can follow the Big 5 Impact Trail to learn about exhibitors specializing in environmentally friendly materials and low-emission solutions.
She explained that the Livable Cities Summit accompanying the exhibition discusses policies and strategic planning to support the creation of solutions that enhance the construction of more sustainable, resilient and human-centered cities, while highlighting technical innovations to enhance the quality of projects and sustainable construction solutions.
