"Energy and infrastructure" It showcases innovative solutions and projects in… " The Big Five" In Dubai
Dubai, November 25 / WAM / The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure is participating in the Big 5 Global Exhibition, held at the Dubai World Trade Center, and its activities will continue until November 26.
The Ministry’s participation this year comes as part of its efforts to enhance its presence in the largest regional gathering specialized in the building and construction sector, and to review the rapid development witnessed by the sector in the UAE.
The participation aims to highlight the accelerated adoption of future technologies and smart systems, in line with the country’s trends towards developing a sector capable of meeting the needs of future growth.
During its participation, the Ministry will review a group of innovative projects and modern solutions being developed in the fields of infrastructure and sustainability, with a focus on technologies that enhance construction quality and resource efficiency.
Participation includes introducing the applications of artificial intelligence in project management and implementation, and digital technologies that increase energy and water efficiency, in addition to reviewing national projects that support the goals of the “We Are the Emirates 2030” vision, the Emirates Energy Strategy 2050, and the strategic initiative to achieve climate neutrality 2050.
The Ministry also highlights the UAE’s efforts to build a sustainable construction system concerned with protecting the environment and reducing emissions in the construction sector, through pioneering initiatives, most notably the development of the National Guide for Smart Construction, which aims to adopt modern materials and technologies, and develop advanced engineering specifications in line with best global practices.
His Excellency Eng. Yousef Abdullah, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for the Federal Infrastructure Projects Sector, said that the Big Five Exhibition is today considered one of the most important global platforms influencing the construction sector, explaining that it is no longer just an exhibition of products or technologies, but rather has turned into a comprehensive forum that contributes to shaping the future of the sector, redefining building standards, city planning, and developing communities in light of a rapidly changing world.
He added that the Ministry’s participation in this event comes to enhance its role in exchanging experiences, and reviewing projects and initiatives that contribute to developing an infrastructure capable of keeping pace with future developments, as this event brings together elite experts, innovators, and pioneers of international companies to present advanced engineering solutions.
He stressed that the UAE is dealing with global changes in the construction sector with a realistic vision and a practical approach based on implementation, innovation, and investing in opportunities, as the Ministry has worked to modernize regulatory frameworks, enable the use of environmentally friendly materials, and enhance the role of smart technologies and advanced analyzes in design and project management.
He pointed out that these efforts aim to ensure the sector’s readiness for the future, enhance its competitiveness and ability to innovate, and consolidate the UAE’s position as a global model in building sustainable and smart infrastructure.
