“Statistics”: 91.5% of Saudi families are interested in rationalizing electricity consumption
The General Authority for Statistics issued the results of household energy statistics for the year 2024, which showed that 91.5% of households in Saudi Arabiashows great interest in rationalizing electricity consumption, and 91.9% applies rationalization instructions in the use of electrical appliances.
According to the report, the total Electricity consumption in the residential sector in Saudi Arabia reached 161,207 gigawatt hours, while the percentage of the population benefiting from Electricity services 100%.
The results showed that 86.4% of homes depend on gas for cooking, compared to 13.4% that use electricity, while the majority rely on gas cylinders at a rate of 97%, compared to 2.7% that use gas tanks.

It indicated that most homes use gas cylinders made of iron at a rate of 93.9%, while the percentage of The use of fiber cylinders was 5.6%.
And 56.6% of families expressed their willingness to replace old appliances with more efficient ones, and 40.8% showed their desire to use solar energy as a source of energy in the home.
These results are based on field and telephone survey data carried out by the General Authority for Statistics, in addition to administrative records received from the Ministry of Energy, in order to ensure the quality and accuracy of data to support national policies in the field of home energy.
