Abu Dhabi, November 26 / WAM / Yesterday evening, Tuesday evening, Al Raha Beach Theater in Abu Dhabi witnessed the competitions of the fifth live episode of the twelfth season of the “Million’s Poet” program, which is considered the largest platform for Nabati poetry in the Arab world, and is produced by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority under the slogan “Our Poem is One,” as part of its efforts to preserve the poetic heritage and enhance its presence in the Arab conscience.

The episode, which was broadcast live on the “Abu Dhabi” and “Baynouna” channels, was attended by His Excellency Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and the executive directors of the sectors in the authority, along with members of the program’s advisory committee, Turki Al-Muraikhi and Badr Safouq, and a large audience of poets, media figures, and fans of Nabati poetry.

The jury, consisting of Dr. Sultan Al Amimi, Dr. Ghassan Al Hassan, and Hamad Al Saeed, announced that poets Musab bin Ali Al Futaisi from the Sultanate of Oman and Musa Muhammad Butti Al Qubaisi from the Emirates qualified for the next stage with a score of 48 out of 50 for each.

In the rest of the results, Faris Ayed Al-Otaibi from Kuwait received 47 degrees, Abdullah Muhammad Al-Ajmi from Kuwait received 46 degrees, Faisal Al-Zubaini Al-Anazi from Saudi Arabia received 45 degrees, and Nasser Bin Shanan from Saudi Arabia received 41 degrees, waiting for one of them to qualify for the next stage by public vote during this week through the website and application of the “Poet of a Million” program.

It was announced at the beginning of the episode, which was presented by media figures Faisal Al-Jassim and Salama Al-Muhairi, that the poet Eid Fahid Al-Shammari from Saudi Arabia qualified for the 24th stage by public vote in the previous episode, by obtaining 96 degrees out of 100, which is the sum of the jury’s scores and the public’s vote scores.

The episode witnessed strong competition between poets, and in their evaluation of this episode and the previous episodes of the “Million Poet” program, the members of the jury spoke about their impressions. Dr. Ghassan Al-Hassan expressed his satisfaction with the soundness of the committee’s choices for the elite poets who arrived at the Al Raha Beach Theater. Hamad Al-Saeed saw that the features of the second stage of this season began to become clear, stressing that creativity was the characteristic of both those who qualified and those who left, while Dr. Sultan Al-Amimi gave his advice to the qualified contestants. For the second stage, he stressed the need to maintain the level of their poetic performance, noting the importance of taking into account the committee’s observations.

As part of the “Poet of a Million” program’s interest in highlighting the stars of poetry in the Arab world, the poet Faisal Al-Adwani interviewed during the evening the star of “Poet of a Million” in the fifth season, the poet Faisal Al-Farsi, who praised the program, pointing out its importance in refining the talents of poets and followers who find great richness in the jury’s comments regarding the poems participating in its seasons’ episodes.

Al-Farsi presented two poems, one of which mixed Nabataean and classical poetry, and the two poems received great interaction from the audience that filled the theater stands.
