“We always hear you”… an awareness platform for Dubai Police to protect women

Dubai Police launched an awareness platform to protect women under the slogan “We Always Hear You,” coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
This initiative, which was launched at the Festival City Center in Dubai, aims to raise awareness of the support services and communication channels provided by the police to protect women and enable them to access their legal rights.
Colonel Faisal Al-Khamiri, Acting Director of the General Department of Human Rights, stressed that the initiative embodies the Dubai Police’s commitment to strengthening community security and preserving human dignity without discrimination, pointing to harnessing technical and human capabilities to provide an integrated protection system.
He said that the platform reflects a clear message that every report receives an immediate and confidential response, calling on community members to report any cases of violence or threats.
Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ali Al Matrooshi, Director of the Child and Women’s Protection Department, explained that the initiative represents a qualitative leap in community awareness of the role of Dubai Police in protecting women’s rights, stressing the provision of easy and multiple communication channels via phone, smart application and smart centers to ensure victims’ access to legal and psychological support in complete confidentiality.
Rawda Mohammed Al Razouqi, Head of the Women’s Protection Department, said that the platform extends for three days in the mall, and includes providing direct information to visitors about ways to communicate with Dubai Police through the 901 call center, and the women’s protection service on the smart application and website, in addition to the 999 hotline for urgent cases, stressing that reports receive immediate follow-up and comprehensive support.
